ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA International) announced that it is seeking volunteers to serve on the AMCA Standard 230 Review Committee. Interested parties should contact Amanda Muledy atamuledy@amca.orgby Feb. 21, 2014.

ANSI/AMCA Standard 230-07 describes a laboratory method of testing for air circulating fans. Circulating fans are defined as fans used for moving air within a space and which are unconnected to any ducting, usually without a housing. Though this standard is not yet up for its periodic review, some members have expressed interest in revising this standard to better reflect current methodology.

Committee members will be expected to participate in the drafting, review, and resolution of any and all comments on this standard until the revised standard is approved by ANSI as an American National Standard. In general, meetings are virtual (GoToMeeting). Once the technical committee is formed and approved by the AMCA International board of directors, work is projected to be complete in one year.
