SAVANNAH, Ga. — Tommy Linstroth, owner and founder of Savannah-based Trident Sustainability Group, a leading sustainability and green building consulting firm, has announced a new venture, Sustainativity Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to direct philanthropic investments in sustainability.

Linstroth also announced Sustainativity’s new board members and the inaugural sustainability endowment recipient.

One hundred percent of funds raised by Sustainativity will go directly to implementing sustainable solutions within the Savannah community. Sustainativity is intended to create a positive impact on the region’s built environment and surrounding community by accelerating the adoption of green building technologies, sustainability practices, and progressive quality of life advancements by engaging with nonprofit partners to help them maximize their efforts while minimizing their environmental footprint.

Sustainativity’s new board members include chair and founder, Tommy Linstroth; vice chair Nick Deffley, project manager at Step Up Savannah; treasurer Annie Melone, principal of Axiom Management; secretary Ed Hoffman, president of HES Inc.; and at large members Tripp Turner (president, JT Turner) and Ricardo De Soto (wealth manager, Morgan Stanley).

Second Harvest of the Coastal Empire has been chosen as the first recipient of Sustainativity’s sustainability endowment. Sustainativity will fund and assist in implementing a retrofit program for Second Harvest which is expected to yield savings of $3,000 per year — funds that Second Harvest will then use to provide additional meals to community members.
