• Emerson Climate Technologies (Sidney, Ohio) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hisense Air Conditioning Co. (Qingdao, China). The agreement is designed to quicken the adoption of variable-speed scroll and EVI technologies in the Chinese residential air conditioning market.

• Lutron Electronics Co. Inc. (Coopersburg, Pa.) and Siemens Industry Inc.’s (Zug, Switzerland) building technologies division announced a collaborative development effort to help make commercial buildings more energy efficient.

• Crown Boiler Co. (Philadelphia) issued a recall notice for its CWD Series cast-iron hot water boilers that were manufactured between May 1, 2005 and July 1, 2013.
