MINNEAPOLIS — Honeywell announced that it won four Control Trends Awards at the organization’s annual ceremony held in New York City. Honeywell won awards in four different categories including: Building Automation System of the Year, Thermostat of the Year, Marketing Tools and Support, and HVAC Controls Executive of the Year.
The Control Trends Awards honor top performers in the HVAC, controls, and building automation industries. Honeywell’s recognition encompasses its Environmental and Combustion Controls business.
Honeywell WEBs was named the Building Automation System of the Year. WEBs is a web-enabled integration building system for small to large facilities that allows for integration of diverse systems and products from different manufacturers that communicate using different protocols.
The Honeywell Prestige® IAQ thermostat, won the Thermostat of the Year award, marking the second year in a row that a Honeywell thermostat has been recognized in the category. The Prestige IAQ was introduced during 2013 and offers a high-definition color display and is programmable up to seven days.
Tom Rosback, vice president and general manager of Honeywell’s Commercial Control Systems Business, was honored as the HVAC Controls Executive of the Year for his contributions to the industry over the past year including the launch of eight new products in the fourth quarter of 2013.
