SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — Carmel Software has announced the release of its HVAC Duct Sizer (Universal) app, which now runs on the Apple iPad in addition to the iPhone. This means that the same app will run on both devices and adjust its screen size accordingly.

The HVAC Duct Sizer app allows users to quickly size one or more runs of duct using the constant friction method. It allows users to size new duct systems by inputting airflow and velocity or friction loss. It also allows users to size existing systems by inputting duct dimensions and air velocity. Additional parameters can be specified such as duct material type, aspect ratio, duct shape, air temperature, and pressure.

“When we first released this app four-plus years ago, there were only 10 or so HVAC apps on iTunes. Today, there are thousands. Our Duct Sizer app has sold thousands worldwide over the past four years and has always been the highest ranking HVAC duct sizer app on iTunes. Now, this app is available for iPad users,” said Stephen Roth, P.E., principal of Carmel Software.
