A staggered-zone snow-melt control system, the PYRO_X is plug and play with intuitive configuration of set points, delays, or manual mode. It’s easier to commission and it’s easy for the installer and building manager to use the system, with only two buttons and dual in-line package (DIP) switches, the company said. The backlit controller self-diagnoses, is easy to program, and fits into a 2-by-4-foot wall box. The snow sensor has different mounting bracket options, and an anti-bird-nest feature. The system now has an upper limit underground line cut alert and indicator on the display. According to the manufacturer, there is no longer a problem when the upper limit/under slab sensor is pushed into a conduit. The panel box, sensor, and controller can now be ordered together as one package.
