Klein Tools Teams with American Cancer Society

Company, Employees Participate in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

CHICAGO — Klein Tools Inc. partnered with the American Cancer Society in its Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Chicago walk as a flagship sponsor and joined thousands who participated in the 5K fundraising walk, Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Soldier Field in Chicago.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation. This event also supports the American Cancer Society’s unique mission to fight breast cancer on all fronts and save lives by helping people stay well by reducing breast cancer risk or finding it early; providing information and support during and after a cancer diagnosis; finding cures through investment in groundbreaking breast cancer research; fighting back by encouraging lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer; and by rallying communities worldwide to join the fight.

“Our commitment to fighting all cancers involves not only our company sponsorship, but also the commitment of our employees who will participate in the walk, company raffles, and two ‘jeans’ weeks where employees donate money to wear jeans to work,” said Thomas R. Klein, president of Klein Tools.
