LOS ALTOS, Calif. — Daintree Networks Inc., a provider of open, networked wireless solutions for smart building control and energy management, was selected as one of the Red Herring Top 100 North America Award winners, a list honoring the year’s most promising private technology ventures from North America. The winners were announced at a special awards ceremony.
Red Herring Top 100 North America selects 100 award winners from among the approximately 3,000 tech startups financed each year in the United States and Canada.
“In 2014, selecting the top 100 achievers was by no means a small feat,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “In fact, we had the toughest time in years because so many entrepreneurs had crossed significant milestones so early. But after much thought, rigorous contemplation, and discussion, we narrowed our list down from hundreds of candidates from across North America to the top 100 winners. We believe Daintree Networks embodies the vision, drive, and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture. Daintree should be proud of its accomplishment, as the competition was very strong.”
Mandeep Khera, Daintree vice president of marketing and channels, said, “Winning this award reinforces Daintree’s leadership in building energy controls and management, and confirms our wide range of capabilities that include lighting control, HVAC (thermostat) control, plug-load control, CO2 sensor monitoring, data analytics, and many others. As an advocate of true open-standard solutions, winning the Red Herring Top 100 award validates the success of Daintree’s Enterprise Internet of Things™ approach. Red Herring is a reputable publication and Alex Vieux along with his team has done a tremendous job in recognizing innovative companies and we consider this a big honor.”
