As a green, organic heat transfer fluid, Hydromx contains NANO Thermo™ Technology — nanoparticles that rearrange the molecular structure of the fluid, increasing thermal conductivity. When combined with other fluid technology, Hydromx changes the dynamic performance of the system so that it uses less energy to maintain the required temperature set points. According to the manufacturer, the fluid can be used in place of water or glycol in hydronic heating and cooling, and solar systems. The fluid is compatible with all metals and materials commonly used in heating and cooling systems, protecting them from the damage and loss of efficiency caused by corrosion, scaling, or temperature extremes, said the company.
