ARLINGTON, Va. — ACCA published a new Commercial Quality Maintenance Checklist based on ANSI/ACCA/ASHRAE 180 Standard, “Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems.” The checklist will help building owners and operators select a contractor to perform maintenance on their HVAC systems.
ACCA’s Commercial Quality Maintenance Checklist features seven questions building owners and operators should ask contractors submitting maintenance proposals. Each question has an explanation for why it is important and a space for recording each contractor’s response.
“Regular maintenance of heating and cooling equipment is critical to the performance, efficiency, and lifespan of the system,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, president and CEO, ACCA. “However, many building owners and operators are unsure about what should be done, when it should be done, and how it should be done. By making this checklist available, we are giving them a resource to help them select a contractor who will perform maintenance based on an industry-recognized standard.”
