FALLS CHURCH, Va. — The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) Educational Foundation has announced the winners of its 2014 scholarships. Seven students were awarded a total of $20,000 in scholarships funded by the foundation, South Jersey Mechanical Contractors Association, Anne Williams, PHCC Auxiliary of Massachusetts, and PHCC’s Past National Officers.

Evan Womble of Durham, North Carolina, has been awarded the 2014 Charles F. Hiley Memorial Scholarship, a $5,000 award funded by the PHCC Educational Foundation and South Jersey Mechanical Contractors Association. Womble will be attending Campbell University, pursuing a degree in Business Administration.

Joshua Anderson of Iowa City, Iowa, has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship funded by the PHCC Educational Foundation. Anderson is working full-time at PHCC member Bea Day Plumbing and is enrolled in the Kirkwood Community College Plumbing Program.

Zachary Charland of Hubbardston, Massachusetts, has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship funded by Anne Williams, in memory of Francis A. Williams, and the PHCC of Massachusetts Auxiliary. Charland is enrolled at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Adam Christopher Girardi of Bonita, California, has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship, funded by the PHCC Past National Officers. Girardi is working full-time at PHCC member Perry Plumbing, in National City, California. He will be enrolling in the San Diego PHCC Plumbing Apprentice Program this fall.

Alex Moses of Cambridge, Minnesota, has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship funded by the PHCC Educational Foundation. Moses is enrolled at University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Brian Prenger of Huntington Beach, California, has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship funded by the PHCC Educational Foundation. Prenger is working full-time at PHCC member C&R Drains, Costa Mesa, California, and is enrolled in the PHCC ORSB (Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties) Apprentice Program.

Eric Teran of El Cajon, California, has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship funded by the PHCC Educational Foundation. Teran is working full-time at PHCC member Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air in El Cajon, California, and will be enrolling in the San Diego PHCC Apprentice Program this fall.
