ARLINGTON, Va. — Free registration for the HVACR & Mechanical Conference for Education Professionals is now available for the 2015 conference, to help instructors of training and apprenticeship programs in HVACR and water heating to learn the latest technological advancements and improve their training and teaching skills.
The free registration is being sponsored by the HVACR Workforce Development Foundation, an industry-funded nonprofit focused on developing a robust and highly-skilled workforce in the HVACR and related technical fields. The conference will be held March 9-11, 2015, at the Conference Center at the Maritime Institute in Linthicum Heights, Maryland.
Attendees who register before Jan. 30, 2015, will also be automatically entered into a drawing for complimentary hotel/meals (three-night maximum).
Kari. M. Arfstrom, Ph.D., was named as executive director of the HVACR Workforce Development Foundation Oct. 1, 2015 and will lead the foundation through its new charge to promote apprenticeships, certifications, and degrees in the areas of HVACR and other mechanical training.
“My entire career has been spent supporting teaching efforts and promoting career development, so I’m very excited to lead the foundation’s push to improve both the understanding and perceptions of these critical industry careers,” said Arfstrom. “These are well-paying, entrepreneurial industries with great career opportunities, especially for young people.”
