WASHINGTON — Steven Winter Associates Inc. announced that it has acquired the assets of Everyday Green LLC, Washington, District of Columbia, a building science consulting and verification firm specializing in green building certification programs. Everyday Green’s staff and operational assets are being transitioned to Steven Winter Associates.
“Everyday Green’s mission really mirrored our own to advance the way buildings are designed, constructed, and maintained,” said Maureen Mahle, senior vice president and director of sustainable housing services for Steven Winter Associates. “Both organizations consistently seek to improve occupant health, safety, and comfort, while minimizing the environmental impact of the built environment.”
Everyday Green has provided green building and energy efficiency services to the residential market in the District of Columbia metro area and Pennsylvania for over six years. The firm’s staff possesses a range of technical expertise bolstered by green building credentials and professional affiliations. The two organizations provide several parallel service offerings; joining them was a strategic initiative to best serve the needs of existing clients, as well as to accommodate the growing sustainability market in the Mid-Atlantic region.
“This partnership will allow us to significantly expand our portfolio of service offerings, and our projects will now be backed by Steven Winter Associates’ 120-plus employees and distinguished 43 year track record,” said Andrea Foss, founder and managing partner for Everyday Green. “We are very excited to be part of the Steven Winter Associates team.”
