TOLEDO, Ohio — Owens Corning Insulating Systems has introduced its new ProPINK® High Performance Conditioned Attic System. This system, currently approved for use in climate zones 2B and 3B, has been designed specifically for unvented attics where the HVAC air handling unit is placed in the attic space.

The High Performance Conditioned Attic System is available in thermal resistances of R-22, R-30, R-38, and R-49 with components designed and tested to work together. These system components include PROPINK ONE® all-purpose foam sealant applied to eaves, framing gaps, and sheathing joints; blown-in PROPINK EcoTouch® loosefill insulation; and a proprietary netted fabric that creates a near-uniform application.

This system targets four key areas in the attic, including the roof deck transitions, exposed sheathing joints, penetrations eaves, and gable ends, to help builders and contractors deliver comfortable, efficient, high-performance homes for their customers.

As a new addition to the company’s collection of systems solutions, Owens Corning said the PROPink High Performance Conditioned Attic System helps to safely and affordably optimize home energy efficiency, comfort, durability, and value per square foot.
