WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Conservation Services Group (CSG) has won a contract to provide residential energy efficiency services to AEP Ohio, a unit of American Electric Power. The multi-million dollar contract is for two years. AEP Ohio is CSG’s fourth engagement in the state, joining Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio, Dayton Power & Light, and Columbia Gas of Ohio as clients.
“We chose to partner with CSG because we were impressed with their team and its knowledge of the Ohio utility market,” said David Tabata, manager of consumer programs at AEP Ohio. “We’re looking forward to launching the program this year.”
On behalf of AEP Ohio, CSG will implement an in-home audit program, launch and staff a customer contact center, market services to homeowners, and process all incentives. The program covers single family homes and has a multifamily component as well. The program’s team of independent assessors and auditors will also work closely with local trade allies, with whom homeowners will contract for energy-saving retrofits that ensure AEP Ohio will achieve its program performance goals.
“Our engagement with AEP Ohio enables us to bring our proven energy efficiency expertise to more Ohio homeowners,” said Bruce Teal, CSG’s regional vice president. “We’re committed to delivering a win-win formula — where customers save energy and money and AEP Ohio achieves its performance goals — while honoring our unwavering commitment to 100 percent customer satisfaction.”
