ARLINGTON, Va. — The Clifford H. “Ted” Rees Jr. Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), announced it is presenting $17,500 in scholarship funds to 10 students studying to become technicians in the HVACR and water heating industry.
“These students are a shining example of the qualified, dedicated HVACR and water heating technicians we need to fill good-paying jobs that cannot be outsourced,” said Stephen Yurek, AHRI president and CEO. “We wish them success in their educational pursuits and careers.”

• Kenneth Humber, Bevill State Community College – Sumiton Campus (Sumiton, Alabama)
• William McDonald, Bevill State Community College – Sumiton Campus (Sumiton, Alabama)
• Landon Short, Bevill State Community College – Sumiton Campus (Sumiton, Alabama)
• Micah Woodward, Bevill State Community College – Sumiton Campus (Sumiton, Alabama)
• Evelyn Zavala, Montgomery College – Rockville Campus (Rockville, Maryland)
• Ryan Pullam, Ranken Technical College (St. Louis)

Since the Rees Scholarship Foundation was founded in 2003, it has awarded more than $330,000 in scholarships to 195 students and instructors.
