ST. LOUIS — Emerson Climate Technologies Inc., a business of Emerson, recently hosted a weekend Roundtable Summit in Las Vegas with refrigeration contracting companies representing the food retail and food service markets. The Summit was part of a larger Emerson-sponsored event that included Emerson Air Conditioning and its service contractors.
The meeting explained the challenges facing refrigeration contractors in today’s market while updating attendees on industry trends and issues. Additionally, special focus was given to the upcoming changes in the industry regarding refrigerants and energy regulations as well as tools and resources provided by Emerson to help contractors achieve their goals and grow their businesses.
“This was a great opportunity for us to have constructive conversations with our customers who provide food service and retail operators with the latest refrigeration products and services,” said Bob Labbett, vice president, channel marketing and communications, Emerson Climate Technologies’ refrigeration business. “Contractors really enjoyed a frank discussion about the industry, the changes that lie ahead in terms of refrigerants and energy concerns, and the value that both manufacturers and contractors offer the food industry, in general.”
“We also discussed the need for continued education for technicians and the need to attract young people to our industry,” he added.
Following the meeting, the group enjoyed the NASCAR Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. For more information, visit www.emersonclimate.com.
