SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Ayla Networks, provider of an Internet of Things (IoT) platform that the company says enables connectivity for any kind of product, announced that it is working in partnership with Dimplex North America to incorporate its IoT technology into Dimplex electric heating products.

“Dimplex is a company built on the premise of ‘better solutions through innovation,’ and we recognized that an IoT-connected approach would let us innovate and iterate faster and more efficiently,” said Scott Ringler, vice president of marketing and product development for Dimplex. “What Ayla provides in its IoT platform is a fast track to move our innovation ideas to fully formed, production-ready solutions.”

“Ayla and Dimplex are working together to create and launch a connected gateway for the control of electric smart heaters in commercial and residential markets, which will be connected through the Ayla Networks cloud service,” said David Friedman, CEO, co-founder of Ayla Networks. “By using the Ayla software agent, Dimplex products will automatically and securely connect to the Ayla cloud service, enabling Dimplex to collect data from the electric heaters and giving customers enhanced remote management of their heaters’ operation.”

The Ayla IoT platform provides comprehensive device, cloud, and mobile app connectivity. Dimplex is using the Ayla technology first for its Dimplex CONNEX™ product family, which includes convection and fan-forced electric wall heaters with programmable wireless control.
