Description: The 24-V Hornet™ ultraviolet (UV-C) lamp fixture provides cleaner, healthier air, and it improves airflow and heat-exchange efficiency levels, which helps to reduce energy use in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The 20-W UV lamp emits shortwave, germicidal ‘C’-type wavelengths to attack and break down microorganisms that impede HVAC system efficiency. The Hornet installs on the exterior of the HVAC plenum, and its lamp projects into the airstream, minimizing allergens and airborne-transmitted diseases. Moreover, because the unit mounts from outside the system, contractors don’t have to reconfigure any ductwork, making the install quick and clean. The unit’s simplified design allows it to be used in several applications.
