ST. LOUIS — Emerson Climate Technologies Inc. and ABCO® HVACR Supply + Solutions hosted a three-hour product training course for the Korean Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Association (KARA) of New York.

Focusing on the X-Line Series Copeland Scroll™ outdoor condensing units for refrigeration applications, the training was taught in the Korean language by Robert Kim, senior product marketing manager, Emerson Climate Technologies. Based in Asia, Kim flew to the U.S. to teach the course, working with Emerson Educational Services to translate training materials into Korean to maximize comprehension for the 85 KARA attendees.

Held in conjunction with a dinner at Kum Gang San Manor in Flushing, New York, the training focused on the benefits the X-Line Series product line offers in urban environments such as New York City, which include compact design, quiet operation, energy efficiency, and onboard diagnostics.

“The X-Line is a perfect fit for our market with its energy efficiency, low noise, and smaller footprint design,” said Fina Vicari, vice president, refrigeration sales management, ABCO HVACR Supply + Solutions. “We work closely with KARA, whose members service convenience stores, supermarkets, and delis serving a diverse population in our community. We appreciate Emerson’s willingness to teach the course, and especially to provide the training in Korean; it just made it that much more effective.”

“We’re proud to work with companies such as ABCO to assist with customer education and understanding,” said Bob Labbett, vice president communications and channel marketing, Emerson Climate Technologies. “Providing the course in Korean through a subject matter expert such as Robert Kim, plus the impactful training materials from Emerson Educational Services, certainly amplified understanding and learning. We appreciate the opportunity to work with KARA of New York members.”
