Marshall Home Comfort, a family-owned and operated home services business located in Skippack, Pennsylvania, donated $6,500 to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for the second consecutive year.

“My family has a steadfast bond with our community, especially with CHOP,” said Glenn Dickey Jr., owner of Marshall Home Comfort, which has operated in the community for 70 years. “Our daughter was deathly ill as an infant, and through the extreme efforts and dedicated perseverance of the medical staff; ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialists; and emergency personnel, she recovered and is a happy and healthy young girl today. We resolved to do what we could to give back and committed to donate a portion of every service call and product installation
we complete.”

The Marshall family started the business in 1945, providing roofing and ductwork services to area homeowners and businesses. Soon after, founder Robert Marshall added heating oil sales, service, and installation. In the 1960s, the business expanded along with the family, adding son-in-law Glenn Dickey Sr. to the roster. Keeping the business in the family, Glenn Dickey Jr. joined the company in 1995 as a helper, working his way up to become the owner of the business. Today, Marshall Home Comfort employs 20 service experts, drivers, installers, and administration staff and provides plumbing, air conditioning, heating, water treatment, IAQ, drain-cleaning, and sewer repair services.
