Danfoss (Baltimore) named Miha Kavcic (pictured below) head of sales and business development in North America. Kavcic will be responsible for advancing Danfoss’s business in the heating market.

Scotsman Ice Systems’ (Vernon Hills, Illinois) Meridian HID525 ice and water dispenser received a 2015 Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.

Panasonic Corp. (Kadoma, Japan) intends to purchase Hussmann Corp. (Bridgeton, Missouri). The deal is expected to close in April.

Alfa Laval Inc. (Richmond, Virginia) named Ross Glendinning (pictured below) senior vice president of its service division.

Glasfloss Industries (Dallas) acquired a new building in Desoto, Texas, with the intention of it becoming the company’s corporate headquarters. The targeted move in date is mid-year.

Honeywell Intl. Inc. (Morris Plains, New Jersey) acquired the remaining 30 percent stake in UOP Russell LLC (Des Plaines, Illinois) for $240 million. Honeywell acquired 70 percent of UOP Russell in 2012.

The Whalen Co. (Easton, Maryland) named Diego Stefani (pictured below) director of business development, North America.
