ORLANDO, Fla. — LG Electronics USA’s pioneering Excellence Contractor Program, which grants HVAC residential and light commercial contractors access to premier benefits and training programs, experienced explosive growth in 2015 — with a 95 percent increase in contractor participation versus 2014, the company recently announced.
Celebrating this milestone at the AHR Expo 2016, LG recognized a number of top contractors for their accomplishments. David Lewis from Mission A/C Home Services LLC in Houston was named the top contractor in the LG Excellence Rewards competition for registering the most units during the fall promotional period, and Jack Restivo from Restivo’s Heating and Air Conditioning in Johnston, Rhode Island, was the LG Excellence Contractor fall promotion sweepstakes winner. These competition and sweepstakes elements of the LG Excellence Contractor Program give contractors the opportunity to earn valuable prizes from both LG and its partners, such as Ridgid Tools.
“The LG Excellence Contractor Program launched in 2013 and is designed to equip contractors with the tools and resources they need to successfully complete projects, build relationships, and serve as outstanding leaders in the industry,” said Kevin McNamara, senior vice president of air conditioning systems, LG Electronics USA. “The huge increase in program participation reflects the surge in interest we’re seeing in LG’s Home Comfort Solutions. We look forward to continued growth in 2016 for this program focused on training and rewarding the industry’s most innovative contractors.”
In addition to being a landmark growth year for the LG Excellence Contractor Program, LG also has expanded its portfolio of tools, software, and resources available to its program participants, including upgrading its LG Inverter Monitoring System (SIMs) 2.0, opening a new flagship LG Learning Academy training facility, and enhancing the LG extended warranty service contract program.
To enroll in the Excellence Contractor Program, contractors must be nominated by a distributor or an LG sales manager, participate on-site in a local LG Contractor Opportunity meeting, attend a hands-on training class at an LG Training Academy, and complete a series of online training courses on LG’s products and applications.
