Daikin recently opened its Comfort Solutions Center at its Houston offices to showcase its products to contractors.
“We had been doing tours of products a long time, but we wanted to improve upon that process,” said Rex Anderson, director of communications for Daikin.
The center allows Daikin, Goodman, and Amana contractors the opportunity to get up close and personal with a number of products. This includes being able to touch the products and ask pertinent questions.
The center includes a multitude of technologies, including residential and commercial unitary, ductless, packaged, variable refrigerant volume (VRV), and a host of other products.
“We get contractors from all over the country coming to the Comfort Solutions Center,” Anderson said. “The feedback we’ve gotten has been great. They get to ask a lot of questions and gain a real sense of our products and technology. It’s really an educational piece.”
The area also includes a training room for classes.
“The idea is to generate excitement among HVAC dealers about the future of energy-efficient indoor comfort solutions,” said Nathan Walker, vice president of marketing for Goodman Mfg. “It’s more than a product showroom; it’s a brand experience about designing time-tested and innovative indoor comfort solutions not just for homeowners, but also for HVAC dealers. Our hope is that a visit to our Comfort Solutions Center becomes an inspirational experience that HVAC dealers can share with their customers.”
