The Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a pre-publication Federal Register notice detailing the effective date and compliance dates for DOE's direct final rule (DFR) pertaining to energy conservation standards for small, large, and very large air-cooled commercial package air conditioning, heating equipment, and commercial warm air furnaces. (May 13, 2016).
DOE has determined that the comments received in response to the direct final rule do not provide a reasonable basis for withdrawing the direct final rule.
