SEATTLE — Dexter + Chaney, a supplier of construction enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and provider of Spectrum® Construction Software, has announced two significant moves among the company’s executive team.
Dexter + Chaney’s president, Norbert Orth, will be assuming the additional responsibilities of CEO. With his promotion to president and CEO, Orth will continue to lead the firm’s strategic growth initiatives. John Chaney, co-founder of the company, will assume the role of executive chairman. He will lead Dexter + Chaney’s board of directors and work closely with Orth to shape the company’s future. He will also continue to work closely with the company’s product and development teams.
“I am extremely proud of the team we have in place here at Dexter + Chaney and am energized to help us in our continued growth,” Chaney said. “Over the years, Dexter + Chaney has been committed to bringing leading-edge technology to the construction industry and shaping the capabilities of modern construction ERP software. Both the short- and long-term opportunities for our business have me very excited.”
Dexter + Chaney said it has seen record sales and double-digit growth over the last few years. This current growth stretch began as the company redesigned its Spectrum Construction Software to deliver a web-based ERP construction software product to the market. In December 2014, Dexter + Chaney received a significant equity investment from Pamlico Capital, allowing the company to enact a series of strategic growth measures that has expanded its footprint in the construction software marketplace. These measures include: adding a number of new employees to help facilitate growth initiatives; significantly growing its strategic business partner and reseller network throughout North America; bringing on several new leading-edge technology partners and integrating their services with Spectrum; increasing research and development initiatives to further advance both software and technology options for clients; delivering more in-depth training and educational resources for clients; and expanding its role as a leading supporter of industry associations and organizations.
“The strategic initiatives we’ve put in motion — and will continue to put in motion — have positioned Dexter + Chaney as the industry’s leader in delivering mission-critical technology,” Orth said. “I am extremely bullish on our company’s future and very excited for our next wave of software and technology enhancements. We have put together a stellar team at Dexter + Chaney and it is their hard work that has made our success a reality.”
