ST. LOUIS — Haberberger Inc., a full-service mechanical contracting firm in St. Louis, received three Outstanding Mechanical Installation Awards from the Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) of Eastern Missouri for its work on Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) and Mallinckrodt projects. The firm has been honored with the mechanical installation award 26 times for a variety of projects over the past several years.
Haberberger was recognized for its piping work for MSD in two separate categories. The company won in the Process Piping-Public Utility category for projects of up to $600,000 for its work on a disinfection project at MSD’s Coldwater Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in Florissant, Missouri. Haberberger was also recognized in the Process Piping Large Projects– Public Utilities category for projects exceeding $2 million for its Redundant Force Main project at the MSD Wastewater Treatment Plant in Lemay, Missouri. Both projects were led by Jeff Roberts, Haberberger project manager, and Phil Jones, pipefitter general foreman.
Haberberger was also recognized for its outstanding process piping work in the category for projects between $600,000 and $2 million for its work on a demineralizer project at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals in Hazelwood, Missouri. The project was led by Pat Reiller, project manager, and Dodd Slawson, pipefitter general foreman.
The MCA of Eastern Missouri recognizes companies and projects with the Outstanding Mechanical Installation Awards biannually. The awards are judged and selected based on criteria that includes installation quality, the working relationship between the owner and the contractor, and the project’s appearance.
