PLEASANT HILL, Calif. — Larry Andriunas has announced the launch of Kodaro LLC, a software development company that he will lead from California’s Bay Area. Operating in the building automation industry, Kodaro will create ways to connect building controls through software drivers, software applications, and enterprise solutions.
“I’m very excited about launching Kodaro,” said Andriunas, a 28-year building controls expert. “The building automation industry is at an interesting time where new technologies are finally converging. Kodaro will lead the way for innovation in support of contractors and integrators.”
Prior to Kodaro, Andriunas worked his way up through Honeywell’s ranks, starting in sales, moving to product management of the commercial controls portfolio. Most recently, he served as director of commercial sales. In that role, Andriunas oversaw the sales teams for Allerton, Phoenix, Honeywell Commercial, and Vykon.
Kodaro will develop software that securely unlocks building data to improve occupant comfort, increase operational efficiency, and reduce energy costs.
The company’s expertise in the ins and outs of all building systems, including HVAC and plumbing, will enable it to create software that helps all of those systems, and the people who manage them, perform better.
Jon Schoenfeld has joined the Kodaro team to lead development of the company’s analytics offerings, applying his technical knowledge of building system design, engineering, and operation. Schoenfeld has been an engineer in the renewable energy and energy efficiency fields for over 12 years.
“With Kodaro, I’m excited about the potential impacts of energy efficiency initiatives on entire building portfolios,” Schoenfeld said. “Our intuitive software offerings will make it easy to apply and maintain efficient control strategies within the larger building management landscape.”
The company expects to make software announcements in the near future.
