MCPHERSON, Kan. — Viega LLC recently hosted a National Manufacturing Day event, attended by nearly 200, at its manufacturing campus in McPherson, Kansas.
The event featured tours of both manufacturing facilities, including its brand-new MegaPress production facility, a career fair, and lunch.

At the McPherson campus, Viega produces its innovative MegaPress carbon steel fittings for joining Schedule 5 to Schedule 40 black iron pipe as well as Viega PEX systems including ViegaPEX™ Ultra tubing, Viega PEX Press fittings, and Viega ProRadiant™ product lines. The Viega ManaBloc® homerun water distribution system and the Viega-assembled panels for easy radiant heating and cooling are also produced in McPherson.
This was Viega’s third year hosting a National Manufacturing Day event. Over the years, the company has welcomed hundreds of area job seekers, students, officials, and community members to its McPherson campus.
Viega recently announced its new manufacturing apprenticeship program, which begins in January 2017 and will provide paid positions working in plastics, metals, machining, or maintenance divisions through which apprentices will be able to earn three-year associate’s degrees.
