NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Trane has been identified as the Lifestory Research 2017 America's Most Trusted® HVAC System Brand for the third year in a row. The study is based on the opinions of 9,082 consumers and their level of trust of specific HVAC system brands. To qualify to participate in the study, participants must have indicated that they were aware of specific HVAC system brands. As the 2017 Lifestory Research America's Most Trusted HVAC System Brand, Trane produced the highest net trust quotient score.

"We know from our multi-year study on the topic of trust, that for a company to prosper, they must have the trust of those they serve," said Lifestory Research President, Eric Snider. "Over the last three years, Trane has consistently been rated as a brand people trust. This is a unique distinction and one that gives an advantage to Trane in the marketplace."

Consumer opinions are collected over the course of the prior 12 months throughout the U.S. Trust is measured through the Lifestory Research Net Trust Quotient Score in which brands are divided into three categories: advocates — customers who feel a significant trust toward the brand; neutrals — those who trust a specific brand, but do not see a specific brand as standing on the shoulders of other brands; and antagonists — customers who are skeptics with little, if any, trust in a specific brand.

Brands currently awarded the designation of America's Most Trusted include: HVAC systems, home builders, active adult resort home builders, faucets, kitchen appliance brands, laundry appliance brands, paint brands, and residential real estate brokerages. Detailed results for each category as well as the methodology of the program is provided on the Lifestory Research website.
