This year, Eaton is bringing a unique presentation of electrical ingenuity directly to its customers throughout the U.S.

The company’s mobile “Industrial Controls in Motion” exhibit offers hands-on, experiential learning on-the-go, providing a complete world of industrial control products and other advanced energy efficiency devices to the public in a 40-foot trailer that is currently traveling the country.

One of the best ways to become familiar with the benefits of new technologies is to explore them in their full, real-world context. “Industrial Controls in Motion” does just that, providing several fully functional, real-world environments for discovering its latest advances in HVACR, pumping, process industry, and machinery applications.

Visitors are able to walk through the trailer and see all of the Eaton innovations working live in both commercial and industrial application environments. Highlighted demos include:

  • Redundant variable frequency drive (VFD) HVAC system,
  • Multi-pump booster system,
  • Material handling conveyor, and
  • Mixing and separating process.

An interactive Internet of Things (IoT) component also allows visitors to create their own fault situation and receive alerts on their mobile phones while they are immersed in the trailer’s life-like environments.

The interactive showroom especially seeks to educate original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), facilities managers, commercial customers, end users, contractors, and others about the latest industrial control innovations bringing organizations greater cost and energy efficiency.

Further, Eaton experts will be on hand to discuss customer challenges and emerging energy trends. In addition to helping explore how the company is striving to better prepare its customers to meet current and future power management demands.

Customers visiting the trailer can also learn more about how to meet energy-efficiency requirements, simplify systems management, and lower the cost of application, installation, and ownership.

“Eaton is committed to helping our customers understand how energy-efficient controls can help them work smarter, cut costs, increase energy efficiency, and keep them safe,” said Tom Neuberger, commercial marketing manager, controls and protection division, Eaton.

Popular solutions from Eaton’s industrial control division featured in the trailer’s application environment include: circuit protection components, motor control centers (MCCs), cable tray systems, explosion proof enclosure solutions, and lighting.

Eaton’s electrical business offers expertise in power distribution and circuit protection, backup power protection, control and automation, lighting and security, structural solutions and wiring devices, solutions for harsh and hazardous environments, and engineering services.

This unique mobile tour first debuted in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the 2017 AHR Expo in January. More than 20 stops are planned in cities across the country throughout 2017. The tour will conclude in November with a final visit to Fresno, California.
