CHICAGO – Jan. 23, 2018, Friedrich Air Conditioning Co. held a press conference where T.J. Wheeler, vice president of marketing and product management and Barry Bookout, director of sales, lodging and specialty markets division, discussed Friedrich’s new packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) system and ductless system models.

Attendees and press members gathered around product displays where the two Friedrich presenters discussed the FreshAireTM PTAC and ENERGY STAR® 9,000 and 12,000 Btu models.

“We were one of the IAQ award finalists at the show here last year,” said Wheeler. “That is really where a lot of our growth and momentum has gone for the company.”

Friedrich’s new PTAC system, FreshAire, is what Friedrich calls, “the first-ever PTAC to combine an energy efficient invrter compressor with the ability to bring in conditioner make-up air (MUA).”

In addition, attendees were introduced to two new ductless system models, the 9,000 and 12,000 Btu models. Friedrich discussed that these models were capable of delivering 28.0 SEER/12.5 heating seasonal performance factor (HSPF), with low ambient heat pump operation down to -13 degrees, as part of the company’s J-Series ductless product line.
