ARS/Rescue Rooter Illinois Donates to Animal Shelter

CHICAGO — In honor of both National HVAC Tech Day and National "Take Your Pet to Work Day" on June 22, Scott Toomey, general manager, ARS/Rescue Rooter Illinois had a literal celebration of both holidays.

After seeing coverage of the Huntley Animal Shelter on the local news and its plea for donations to fix a broken air conditioner to keep its 200 dogs and 50 cats cool, the branch stepped in and donated a HVAC unit, complete with Google Nest products. Additionally, technicians got to spend time with a few furry friends while at work, and many pets were adopted as well.
