COLUMBUS, Ohio — Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) announced its annual conference theme and keynote speaker lineup, which is designed to encourage distributors to become hungry and inventive and charge at business relentlessly.

“The conference theme, Forward 15: Action Before Reaction, asks distributors to consider what made their individual businesses successful in the first place and proactively take action to drive those strengths forward,” said HARDI Marketing Manager Chris DeBoer. “Moreover, we want to teach attendees strategies that will allow them to uncover new and innovative ways to apply those strengths. As disruptive forces attempt to compete, nobody can compare when you’re incomparably good at what you do. Take action now and avoid reacting later.”

The keynote speakers reflect this theme:

Marc Randolph – “Innovate Like Netflix”
Founding CEO of Netflix and veteran entrepreneur Marc Randolph will provide concrete examples of how companies large and small can effectively create an atmosphere that fosters innovation. Drawing largely on his experiences building the company that took down Blockbuster, as well as many other successful startups, Randolph will share dozens of effective tips, tricks and stories drawn from his four decades as an entrepreneur that will help attendees learn to be more responsive to changing conditions.

John Rossman – “Disrupt Like Amazon”
Former Amazon executive John Rossman is the author of The Amazon Way: 14 Leadership Principles Behind the World’s Most Disruptive Company. As a leader who had a front-row seat during the company’s formative years, Rossman understands the iconic company better than most. In this interactive talk, he will introduce attendees to the unique corporate culture of the world’s largest Internet retailer, with a focus on the 14 leadership principles that have guided and shaped its decisions and its distinctive leadership culture.

Alan Beaulieu – “The Economic Forecast”

His keynote presentation will present data that include the market and economic forces, with easy-to-apply solutions and distributor-specific strategies, giving attendees take-away value that produces timely results.
