PHILADELPHIA — LUX Products Corp. announced that Gary Hsieh has joined the company as director of product management. Hsieh comes to LUX with deep expertise in home automation and his own philosophy on the Internet of Things (IoT). He will lead the company’s product management and new product development departments.

Hsieh has engineered, developed and installed products in marquee smart buildings and homes all around the world, from the largest ZigBee installation for City Center in Las Vegas to an automated window shading system in The Shard. He’s learned firsthand what it takes to get a “smart” building running harmoniously.
For the past 15 years, Hsieh has engineered, deployed and managed building and home automation systems. With a diverse background in automation control systems, devices and protocols applied to the IoT segment, knowledge of the CEDIA channel and experience in commercial building automation, Hsieh has led the development of products, systems and solutions to meet market demand and innovation. His corporate experience has ranged from the Life Safety
Control Building Automation industry at Siemens Building Technology and  Cooper Wheelock to Automated Daylighting Controls at MechoShade Systems. He has also served as director of new product development within the architectural lighting industry at Zumtobel and, most recently, as senior manager for home automation at Comcast Xfinity Home. 

Hsieh has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J. He lives in Mount Laurel, N.J., with his wife and two children.
