HOUSTON — Coastal HVAC has raised more than $9,000 for veteran’s services during the annual Customer Appreciation Lunch held on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11. Coastal’s customers generously donated $4,601 during the eighth annual luncheon, which was then matched by Coastal to bring the total donation to $9,202.
Congressman Gene Green (D-29) attended this year’s luncheon, presenting an American flag to Coastal for its work honoring the troops on Veteran’s Day. The flag he presented Coastal flew over the U.S. Capital on Independence Day 2015. Congressman Green thanked everyone in attendance for supporting the troops and spent several moments speaking to the group of more than 250 customers and vendors.
All of the donations collected are for Homes for Our Troops, a nonprofit organization building specially adapted, mortgage-free homes nationwide for the most severely injured veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
