GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Sidney Harvey, president and CEO of Sid Harvey Industries Inc., has appointed Bob Moody to the newly created position of national director of sales and marketing. Moody will report directly to John Rynecki, senior vice president of sales and marketing, and will be headquartered in Garden City, New York. In addition to managing day-to-day marketing and advertising department operations, Bob will oversee Eastern sales and territory management and their corresponding 61 branches, from North Carolina to New England.

Moody is an industry veteran, joining his family’s HVAC distribution business at the age of 18. After earning his business management degree from Long Island University, C.W. Post, he relocated to Boston. Moody’s career at Sid Harvey’s began in 2001 as a branch manager in Malden, Mass.

In 2008, after successfully serving as branch manager, Moody was promoted to regional sales manager, overseeing 11 branches. This summer, he will attain his MBA from Assumption College.

In addition, Harvey has promoted Eric Pilcher to regional sales manager. Pilcher will take over the position formerly held by Moody, with the inclusion of Sid Harvey’s Vermont locations.

Before the age of 20, Pilcher opened, operated, and later sold two hockey pro shops. He also worked as the general manager of an automotive retail and repair facility.

Pilcher began his career at Sid Harvey’s as a sales representative in 2003. Working in several Sid Harvey branches, he has consistently increased sales and improved customer service, earning a Top Gun Sales Award in 2008. During his tenure, Eric has developed several Customer Solutions (CS) accounts and was instrumental in opening Sid Harvey’s Dover, New Hampshire, location.

Following his successes, in 2014, he was named territory sales manager overseeing six locations in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. His office will be located in the Dover branch.
