Larson Electronics, a commercial- and industrial-grade lighting supplier, has released a 24-inch explosion-proof ventilation fan ideal for areas where flammable gases, vapors or finely pulverized dusts may exist.
The EPF-HPSM-24-480V high-pressure, explosion-proof ventilation fan features three spark-resistant cast aluminum blades that move stale air at 6,860 ft3/min. The frame is made of heavy-duty, 14-gauge steel that is completely arc-welded with tubular supports. The unit is rated for use in Class 1 Group D and Class II Groups F and G hazardous areas, providing superior ventilation and air movement throughout a work space. The three-phase, explosion-proof ventilation fan has a 1 hp, fully enclosed motor that spins the propeller at 1,750 rpm. The hard-wired, explosion-proof ventilation fan should be installed according to state and local electrical and mechanical codes. It can be wall-mounted, features eight pre-drilled holes to simplify the process, and operates on 230-480 volts ac electrical current. The industrial exhaust fan is ideal for use in clean rooms, extraction rooms, oil refineries, grain mills, and chemical storage areas for fume, smoke and dust removal.
“A hazardous-location ventilation fan is used to move stale air in areas where flammable gases, vapors and dusts may exist,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics. “This unit is designed to be permanently mounted in such areas to improve air quality and safety.”
Larson Electronics carries an extensive line of LED light towers, portable power distributions, explosion-proof lights for hazardous locations, portable work lights and industrial grade LED area lights.
