PEWAUKEE, Wis. — The Gustave A. Larson Co. recently celebrated the 29th anniversary of its supplier evaluation program, Partners in Excellence and Quality (PEAQ). Five supplier winners for 2017 were honored at an awards dinner at the Blue Mound Country Club in Wauwatosa, Wis.
The PEAQ Program was created out of the desire of Karl G. Larson to find a means to show appreciation for the partnership between the Gustave A. Larson Co. and its business partners. The companies honored with the 2017 PEAQ Award were Heatcraft Refrigeration Products, Allied Air Enterprises, Packard Inc., Nu-Calgon, and Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling and Heating.
The winners were chosen through an evaluation of data collected throughout the year considering various measurements of the quality of partnering in business. Factors considered in the supplier evaluation process include product quality, profitability, marketing, sales support, electronic commerce capabilities, on-time deliveries, lead-time, warranty policy, credit terms, business policies, and procedures. Every department within the GA Larson Co. has input into the evaluation process and selection of its winning suppliers and sales representatives.
The GA Larson Co. held a separate awards dinner on May 16 at the Blue Mound Country Club to honor the top supplier salesperson for 2017 in each its five regions. The winner for outstanding salesperson in the Great Lakes Region was Andrew Senti, regional sales manager, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling and Heating. Dennis Tisch, representing Rheem Air Conditioning Division, was the winner in the East Central Region. The winner in the Mountain Region was Curt Spresser, representing Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling and Heating. Brooks Rajala, representing RAC Sales Inc., was the winner in the North Central Region and Roy Heimbrock, representing Endres and Associates, was the winner in the Great Plains Region.
The primary goal of the PEAQ program is to encourage open communication between GA Larson Co. and its suppliers on issues, policies, and procedures for the mutual benefit of both companies.
“The PEAQ program gives us the opportunity to recognize and show appreciation for our supplier partners and the local sales representative in each of our five regions,” said Scott Larson, president and COO, Gustave A. Larson Co. “We have received feedback from our suppliers that confirms and validates the value of our program, and it remains an important part of our business relationship with our suppliers.”
