HARRISBURG, Penn. — HB McClure Co. LLC, a Harrisburg-based heating, plumbing, and electrical service provider, announced two recent mergers: Accu-Aire Mechanical Services Inc., located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and BBEC Inc., located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

The merger with Accu-Aire, and its engineering division MMG Engineering LLC, is a big step in the company’s long-term growth strategy, according to Jim Saussaman, president of HB McClure.

“We already serve many Lancaster county clients, and this now gives us an opportunity to enhance that offering even more with a fully-staffed, ‘brick and mortar’ presence in West Hempfield Township," Saussaman said. "We welcome the mechanical system design/build and technical service skill-sets that the Accu-Aire team brings to the table.”

Accu-Aire was founded in 1994 and has extensive experience in the design, construction, renovation, and servicing of commercial HVAC systems throughout central Pennsylvania. In addition, Accu-Aire provides preventative maintenance for numerous commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities in the region. MMG Engineering was founded in 2009 to provide quality HVAC, electrical, and plumbing design services to architects, owners, and contractors.

Dale Graybill, Don Huber, and Mark Graybill, owners of Accu-Aire, see this as an excellent opportunity for growth since HB McClure has a similar vision of striving to deliver high-quality work and build lasting relationships with clients. It is also a benefit for their employees as they become ESOP employee-owners and have additional training and advancement opportunities.

BBEC Inc. was established in 1984 and has been serving the electrical construction and service needs of commercial clients for 34 years. It has expertise in lighting and power distribution as well as communication/data/alarm systems.

“We’ve worked closely with BBEC on many projects over the years, and we see this arrangement as a great way to enhance our mechanical, electrical, and plumbing offerings to our commercial and industrial clients for both service and construction needs," said Saussaman. "We believe that our past relationship, plus the fact that we are both employee-owned ESOP companies, will help this be a seamless transition. BBEC’s electrical design/build capabilities will dovetail nicely with our own PHVAC design/build approach.”

says there is a very strong alignment of culture between the two firms.

“We are very delighted to join the HB McClure team because we both like to provide our clients the best possible value while taking care of our employee-owners," said Mark Nelson, president of BBEC. "I am excited for the future as we all grow our business.”
