MILWAUKEE — The Luxaire® brand of Johnson Controls Inc., rallied the community of Milwaukee to help raise funds for children with critical illnesses during the annual Milwaukee Walk For Wishes event.
As presenting sponsors, Johnson Controls and the Luxaire brand, in partnership with local distributor Design Air LLC, led a team who participated in a 5K walk and run. Held at Milwaukee’s Henry W. Maier Festival Park, the event also included a one-mile walk, wheelchair race, and after party.
“Our 17-year long partnership with Make-A-Wish continues to be a point of passion with our staff and the network of contractors and distributors we work with across the country” said Nina LoCicero, director of marketing and digital, Ducted Systems, Johnson Controls. “It is particularly gratifying when we have opportunities like the Milwaukee Walk For Wishes where we can connect our hometown to the organization.”
Luxaire Heating and Air Conditioning has supported Make-A-Wish since 2001. To date, Luxaire and its partners have donated $4.2 million to the organization granting the wishes of 536 children.
“We are proud to partner with Luxaire in supporting Make-A-Wish,” said Mike Gallagher, president, Design Air, an independent distributor of the Luxaire brand in Wisconsin. “Our team truly delights in the opportunity to help fulfill the wish of a Make-A-Wish child.”
