Description: Available in two models — VT8-600 and VT8-1000 — these voltage, continuity, and current testers are used to troubleshoot and verify electrical installations or systems within commercial and light industrial facilities. These ruggedized electrical meters can reach into cramped openings or crowded cabinets while providing an open-jaw design for current measurements and large-diameter cables up to 15.5-mm diameter. The VT8-600 is rated for 600-V and 100-A applications in residential and commercial job sites. For commercial and industrial jobs, the VT8-1000 extends ranges to 1,000 V and 200 A. The ergonomic meters have a high-visibility jumbo display and an offset thumb-selector dial optimized for gloved, one-handed operation. There is an integrated LED work light, a non-contact voltage detector for safety sweeps that can find live circuits quickly, and integrated test-lead holders to stow test leads when not in use. Comprehensive test functions are complemented by True RMS accuracy and high-resolution readings.
