ESCO Group announced the appointment of Thomas M. Tebbe as executive director of the HVACR Education Resource Network (HERN), and as an executive board member of ESCO Group.
Tebbe joined the ESCO Group team in 2003 after spending 30 years in public education with the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, as an instructor, school director, and regional director of five technical colleges. Over the years, Tebbe has worked in various roles within the ESCO Group, most recently as the national programs director for HVAC Excellence.
As executive director of HERN, he will serve on the executive board of ESCO Group. The executive board of ESCO Group enables the directors of ESCO Group affiliates — AC&R Safety Coalition, Carbon Monoxide Safety Association, ESCO Doc Registry, ESCO Institute, Green Mechanical Council, HVAC Excellence, and HERN — to collectively work as a cohesive group to improve education in the HVACR and building science fields.
“Tom has impeccable credentials to launch and guide this new resource for the HVACR industry. He has served as a technician, contractor, instructor, campus director, regional director of schools, utility trainer, accreditation team leader, councilman, mayor, and library system board president,” said Howard Weiss, executive vice president of ESCO Group. “His experience in the HVACR industry, technical education, and government provide him the knowledge and experience necessary to successfully evaluate every aspect needed of great HVACR programs. We are lucky to have him leading HVACR Education Resource Network.
