HOUSTON — StrikeTru, a data and digital solutions company, was selected by Nationwide Industrial Supply LLC of New Jersey (NIS) to overcome product content management challenges. Founded in 2006, NIS sells material-handling equipment, industrial supplies, tools, office supplies, cleaning supplies, and more.
The PIM for commerce project is part of NIS’s strategy to onboard and manage large product data sets from multiple sources, increase the breadth and depth of product lineups, and better support its e-commerce operations. Product data and digital assets will be aggregated from manufacturers and wholesalers.
NIS evaluated PIM solutions for more than a year prior to contacting StrikeTru. The company’s legacy data management platform had run its course and wasn’t flexible enough to meet NIS’s growing product data management needs.
“Working with StrikeTru will help us overcome our current data challenges,” said Brian Schmitt, president of NIS. “StrikeTru understands our needs and data challenges, specializes in PIM for SEO and e-commerce, and has a history of deploying large PIM projects successfully.”
StrikeTru will be deploying Akeneo Open Source PIM for NIS. Product data and digital assets will be onboarded and harmonized in PIM. Clean and rich product data will be automatically fed across the NIS technology platforms.
“Implementing PIM demonstrates a very clear commitment by NIS to modernize its technology landscape and better serve its customers,” said Vik Gundoju, partner, StrikeTru. “We look forward to helping NIS run its digital operations more efficiently, improve its online presence, and grow its business.”
