In the hot month of August, something cool is taking place. Peers and colleagues from around the world will join together in Montreal, Canada, at the 25th IIR International Congress of Refrigeration, an event that will tackle the pivotal issues of today by studying how the latest refrigeration technologies can be used to improve human health and future prosperity. The event will take place from August 24 to 30, 2019.

The Congress will explore energy saving and energy efficiency, food supply, health, reduction of global warming, and the protection of the ozone layer in great detail. Keynote speakers of international renown will share their insights culled from decades of high-level research and development in various scientific areas. Indeed, the Congress will be interdisciplinary thanks to the representation of 11 robust program topics that cover a cross-section of disciplines beyond HVAC. Refrigeration innovation is crucial in mechanical and chemical engineering, cryobiology, agriculture, energy, and other fields, which is why there is something for everyone at ICR 2019.

The stage is set for a truly unforgettable refrigeration summit. Over 1,000 abstracts have been received, and the event will welcome its largest audience in 25 years. This speaks to the passion held by researchers and engineers from around the world as they strive to fight the challenges faced today. The ICR 2019 Scientific Program will be released mid-April, which will include information about technical tours, networking opportunities, focused work meetings, and the social program.

Registration is now open at icr2019.org/registration, and early-bird discounts are available before June 1.
