ORGANIZATIONS
The Chicago City Council voted to adopt the 2018 International Building Code, which will align the city’s construction requirements with up-to-date model codes and national standards. It is the city’s first comprehensive revision to the building code in 70 years.
The International Code Council (ICC) and the Alliance for National & Community Resilience (ANCR) launched the Housing Benchmarks Committee to develop benchmarks for determining housing resilience in U.S. communities.
