William “Bill” Welch, a longtime industry employee, passed away after a short but fierce battle with brain cancer on November 20, 2019.
Welch worked for Lennox Industries as a credit manager, territory manager, and district manager for 12 years. These positions took him and his family from Columbus, Ohio, to Dallas, Texas; Greenville, South Carolina; and Lenexa, Kansas. He then worked for Excelsior Manufacturing and Supply, a Midwest-based sheet metal manufacturer and equipment distributor as a district sales manager, based in Kansas City.
In 2005, Welch went to work for Carrier Enterprise as a Bryant brand manager, based out of Kansas City. For the last three years, he served as the central region distribution sales director for Samsung HVAC. He received a B.A. in Business Administration from Otterbein University in 1978.
Welch’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his wife Joyce, sons Mike and Brian, sisters Kim and Terie, and six grandchildren. His retirement dream was to take fishing trips with his grandchildren in a new boat.
Services were held on November 25 in Lenexa, Kansas.
