COPPELL, Texas — Service Nation announced the launch of its new Connected Home program that will allow residential contractors in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and remodeling to offer smart home services to their customers.
The Connected Home program will provide contractors with a new way to monetize their current customer-bases, as well as gain new customers through new offerings.
“We wanted our contractors to have all the tools, technology, and industry best practices required to deploy connected home services and become successful implementing this program within their businesses,” said Jason Johnson, Connected Home program manager for Service Nation. “We have added more operations training, more sales training, more one-on-one coaching, and better marketing to ensure our member’s success.”
Previously only available to Service Nation Alliance Members, the Connected Home program will now be open to the Retail Contractor Coalition members as well.
“Connected home services are vital for residential contractors,” said Matt Michel, president of Service Nation. “It allows contractors to build up monthly recurring revenue over time to combat gaps in business due to the seasonality or lack of customer acquisition. In addition, residential contractors are a natural fit to provide connected home services. When a smart thermostat or smart water leak detection device alerts the homeowner there is an issue, the contractor is the only one qualified to fix the problem.
