ORLANDO, Fla. — Marketair named three “Top Gun” companies as its manufacturer’s Reps of the Year – 2019 at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo 2020) Feb. 2 in Orlando.
- Top Gun Highest Dollar Sales – Pacific NW Reps LLC, Yakima, Washington.; Scott Herberg, principal.
- Top Gun Dollar Sales Increase – Denco Manufacturers Representatives, Azusa, California; David Gomer, principal.
- Top Gun Sales Percentage Increase and Top Gun Distributor Increase – J & P HVAC Sales, Dayton, Tennessee; Jim Fitzgerald and Phil Thomas (Pell City, Alabama), principals.
Pacific NW Reps’ success was mostly due to sales of the RoughinBox. Scott Herberg, principal, who covers the rep firm’s Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, and Washington territories with outside salesman, Alex Stankovic, landed one of the RoughinBox’s highest volume projects last year. A 270 multi-family housing project used 630 RoughinBoxes for multi-zone mini-split systems installed by Steelhead Mechanical, Spokane, Washington.
The 54-year-old Denco, which was acquired by current owner Gomer 30 years ago after working in sales with the founders for 2 years, has been a Marketair rep for five years in the territory of California, Hawaii, and Arizona.
J & P HVAC Sales, which joined Marketair’s rep network from its inception eight years ago, won a Top Gun award for the highest percentage of increased sales and another award for the highest increase of distributors. The 31-year-old rep firm increased distributor customers for Marketair by 47-percent in its territory of Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi.
