Description: This product features a new interface and updated controls, displaying information — like the temperature or heating/cooling mode — on the screen while introducing a swipe-and-tap interface on the side of the device to perform common functions. It also features a clean, sleek design and comes in a number of colors to complement a variety of homes — Snow, Charcoal, Sand, and Fog. Its plastic parts contain 49 percent recycled post-consumer plastic. Along with the new offering is a Nest Thermostat Trim Kit. Sold separately, the kit includes a trim plate and steel plate for installing the thermostat over an electrical box, all in perfectly matched Nest Thermostat colors and made from 75% recycled post-consumer plastic. With HVAC monitoring, the product can help catch many heating and cooling system issues early. It can send an alert via the Home app or email if something does not seem right.
